As 2019 ends, it seems like a good time to reflect on the changes our company has gone through over the past year or so.  We are proud to say Jeavons Eurotir is not only growing, it is thriving.  

Just like the rest of the country and possibly the world, we are working to predict the potential changes Brexit will make to our company and to our customers.  

Firstly, you would imagine our European Department will be affected, as their customers are the ones working to send and receive goods between the EU and the UK.  But the effects of Brexit certainly won’t end there.

We are expecting our Customs Brokerage team to be busy as the number of countries and type of goods requiring clearance will be increased exponentially. 

The exact details relating to life after Brexit are still vague, but if duty will be payable on your goods, you may be interested in our Bonded Warehousing.  By storing your goods in bond, duty will only be paid as and when you require the goods to be released.

As additional goods will be stored in our bonded warehouse, there will be an increase in demand for our UK Distribution Services. Our team services the whole of mainland UK, Ireland and Northern Ireland, including offshore islands.

So, you can see the butterfly effect of Brexit will be felt across most of our departments.  And we are doing all we can to prepare.  

Our multilingual European Department is trained and ready to answer any enquiry.  And are already fielding daily enquiries from other freight forwarders throughout Europe and the UK.

We have invested in additional training and certification so our Customs Brokerage Team will be ready for a potential tsunami of brokerage requests.

We have leased additional warehousing space and racking to cope with the oncoming demand. 

And we have hired new customer service staff, increased our fleet size and are well prepared for increased demand with our UK groupage services.

We feel we are as ready as we can be for Brexit and its many and varied outcomes, the question is how can we help you to be as prepared?
